(For Victory)

Tank (MK1) opens with that monolithic slower grind that makes me think of the Hunter/Killer machines in the first Terminator when they roll over and pulverize the bones of their human prey. Karl Willetts vocal runs mimic this sort of robotic, monstrous vibe as the riffs playing behind him ooze with menace.

"No beauty in this death/Encased forever/Powerless to resist/As life slips away...away..."

It's one of those Bolt Thrower songs that starts with a plodding momentum that just builds to a very stylized and abrupt finish.

Lyrically it seems like the psychological breakdown of a young, inexperienced soldier dying on the field. As usual, the music works in tandem to convey this visual in my head. I love when the heavier Bolts tunes do this and Tank... remains one of For Victory's more lethal attacks. On my iPod this stomper proceeds the blistering Anti-Tank (Dead Armour), which is something I'd love to watch the band perform live.
