(Those Once Loyal)

If there was one song from Bolt Thrower's last decade that shows how unrelentlingly heavy, and vicious they can be then Anti-Tank (Dead Armour) is it.

The punk-like bassline is very damn welcome, this propells the rest of the band into unleashing a menacing monster of memorable riffs, wicked vocals and some of the most vivid and scary recounts of war you'll ever hear. Everything about Anti-Tank clicks, if you think Bolt Thrower are not heavy then listen to this one and believe. From Karl's scary-yet-inspiring lyrics to the molten riffage, almost 2 years later my affection for this song continues to blossom. I often hear myself at work mumbling, 'here it is, my favorite song on this album.' And I try real hard not to head bang and give myself over to the monolithic power of this track.

Somehow, I knew this song was going to kick my head in as soon as I heard the title. I was right, so damn right. I just love it-and am torn between it and the absolutely brilliant The Killchain as my favorite Bolts songs since The IVth Crusade was released. AT (DA) is one blistering monster that earns classic status right out of the gate. In fact, this track may-may just kick World Eater out of bed as my all time favorite Bolt Thrower song. For a recent song to accomplish this is no mean feat. It's a testament to Bolt Thrower's staying power and their head-removing abilities.
